Since she loves a very particular style in romance suspense, much of what she reads is contemporary romance. As for her influences, she has for the most part been influenced by contemporary romance. Much of what she knows she has learned from her WordsRU editor Sarah. This was more than a decade before she wrote her debut and since then she has not had much training. Unlike many authors who have MFA or attend writing workshops, she does not have any training in the craft of writing except for a few writing courses when she was still in college. Still, she is a lover of all types of romance and is passionate about thriller/suspense novels and hence thought that she could have something good blending romance and suspense. It was this novel that would be the inspiration for a career as a full time author. Sahin decided to get into suspense and romance genres after reading Stephen King’s “The Shining” as a thirteen year old. When she is not writing her novels, she can be found spending time with family, binging her favorite shows late into the night, buying T-shirts on Target and enjoying coffee, wine and music while reading suspense novels. Over the years, she got married and now has two children that she loves to bits. She now has more than two dozen novels over several series to her name.
In Charlotte, she began writing again and by 2015 she had published “Silenced Memoires” her debut novel. It was not until she was encouraged by her students to start writing that she moved out of New York and headed to Charlotte North Carolina to pursue her dreams. These would interrupt her aspirations even though she never stopped imagining or writing. She would later get sidetracked by academic pursuits and later got sucked into a career in teaching.
